Intelligent Ingredients is headquartered in the Princeton, Minnesota area, a suburb of northeast Minneapolis/St. Paul. The parent company provides consulting and product development services with a wide variety of companies nationally, using cutting edge, trendy ingredients to create food & beverage products. Intelligent Ingredients has created "Pure Living", developing a line of proprietary ingredients, used in the creation of functional, allergen free foods. The company only sources and uses 'Pure" forms of organic or natural plant sterols in its raw materials- "Ingredients that are naturally processed, contain no preservatives, are not enhanced with solvents or treated with chemicals during the manufacturing process". Intelligent Ingredients combines product knowledge with an alliance of companies that are experienced in co-manufacturing, raw material procurement, transportation, and product distribution.

Led by Chef Kurt Stiles, a 30-year food industry veteran practicing "Culinology", (Culinary Arts and Food Science used in the process of product development) is selling its' over all wellness line of products in the high-end, "Better for you" categories. The Intelligent ingredients team has successfully developed products that contain a large percentage of one's RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) for antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, nutrients, omegas 3, 6, 9 and minerals. It is our desire to function as a business as close to 100% sustainability as possible. Our future holds a plan to create year round crops an; practicing a green healthy farming business plan in a socially and environmentally agriculture in the State of Minnesota. We also believe that our customers will want these core values, and that our ingredient manufacturers will follow suit in a bigger way. As a company in the natural/functional food and beverage industry, it's our job to be the leaders, not the followers in regards to sustainability.
• The Future - Intelligent Ingredients and Pure Living Food and Beverages is committed to producing products which support the farming and sustenance of organic agriculture. We desire to do this via a way that minimizes our ecological footprint while maintaining social and environmental natural structure.
  When we build a new manufacturing plant, here's what you can expect:
  • Save Electricity and Promote Wellness- Allow the Sun to shine! By installing skylights in our office and plant, (People prefer natural light to fluorescent light) It has been reported that there will be less headaches, eyestrain, colds, flu, etc. when employees are not exposed to artificial lighting for extensive periods of time each day.
  • Organic Biodiversity- One of the impacts of farming is that it has the power to protect and increase natural biodiversity of insects and microbiological life in the earth's soil.
  • Composting of Employee Food Waste- We believe in reducing waste, and will have a company created composting program for all employee's food waste in our new plant. We will use this compost to fertilize our organic grain demonstration field on the land of the building.
  • Green House Growing- We would like to build year-round green houses that grow our crops utilizing the compost we create from waste.
  • Computer, Cell Phone and Equipment Recycling Program- Recycle office equipment and donate old computers to schools.
  • Investing in Reducing Energy & renewable Energy- Reduce energy consumption by installing a newly designed water, heat, and electrical system "Boiler" that reduces demand/load by 33%. Another use is purchase "Wind Power" from our surrounding neighbors and ultimately, build our own self-sustaining wind power plant.
  • Carbon Credits- We will work to achieve a minimal or zero impact on our environment; a metric for our success. We will strive to ensure all of our shipments are carbon free. The greenhouse gases produced during transport of our shipments to the customers will be offset by Intelligent Ingredients through the purchase of carbon credits from an independently audited non-profit organization. These funds are currently used in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects that truly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and meet or exceed USA environmental standards.
  • Packaging Program- Because both Pure Living and Intelligent Ingredients are a young company, we can start our packaging program the right way. This includes; being eco-friendly and use post consumer goods, including but consumption limited to; recycled paper in our printing and packaging, printing with vegetable inks, the use of recycled cardboard, size boxes for smaller packages (A triangle shaped box placed together creates a square, using less cardboard) and to purchase biodegradable/ compost-friendly products (E.G. Natural Peanuts) for shipping, and not using any materials that cannot decompose in a land fill in more than two years.
